At Redbrick, high-tech patents are our bread and butter (software, hardware, mobile, cloud, & social networking to name a few tech areas). But we take a modern approach to intellectual property. Our clients are in high-tech and our practitioners have high-tech backgrounds. We think it only makes sense to maintain both the high-tech culture and methodology- from our innovative firm structure to our paperless systems. After all, our approach allows us to easily provide services at lower rates than large general practice firms, while at the same time providing better quality and attention.

How We Run Smart

We’ve significantly reduced overhead by cutting out costly licensing for outdated software and systems. Instead, we reevaluated and opted for solutions that are up-to-date, more capable, and dependable. In another example, we’ve carefully developed efficient procedures to develop a lean practice.  Further, in this new age, we’ve striven to minimize brick & mortar in favor of more telecommuting options.

All of our practitioners have engineering / science degrees, work experience in tech, and IP law backgrounds. Although our expertise is in patent preparation and prosecution, our practitioners have worked in the tech industry in their previous lives and have experience developing products and services, so we’re one of you. At the same time, our practitioners come from medium to large-size firm backgrounds, so we’re used to providing world-class legal work.  In addition to attorneys, our team includes USPTO registered patent agents, patent paralegals, and IP specialists & advisors.
